Work Included

• Dry lining of the internal face of all external walls of building 1 including the taking down and disposal of existing ceiling finishes and replacing with new ceilings.

• Installation of new floor finishes and skirting as required, painting works to internal walls and associated joinery, Specialist concrete repair works to external plastered walls and chimneys. 

• The installation of roof vents to existing pitched roof to improve the ventilation in the roof area, specialist restoration of existing sash windows and installation of secondary glazing to selected windows.

• Installation of pumped cavity insulation to cavity wall in building and mechanical and electrical modifications and installations All the above works were carried out to improve the U value rating of the historical building.

• Careful planning and strict supervision in relation to health and safety were carried out in this project as working with a live educational facility meant that special attention had to be paid to risks to members of the public and staff while minimising the disruption for day to day operations for staff.

• We were satisfied that no issue arose throughout this project.
