The project at Croom Hospital modernised the X-ray and control room facilities through extensive structural, utility and interior upgrades.

• Work included site preparation, demolition of outdated elements and installing code 5 lead line radiation shielding.

• New features included Gyproc dry lining systems, Rockfon Medicare ceilings, hygienic wall coverings and an automated lead lined door.

• Mechanical and electrical systems were redesigned for compliance, with radiation shielding added to service penetrations.

• Structural steelworks supported construction and future utilities.

 

The project delivered state of the art X-ray facilities, meeting strict safety standards and ensuring long term efficiency.
