Quantity Surveyor – Job Description

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor at PBC Builders, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts. You will ensure projects are completed on budget while maintaining high quality standards and delivering value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets and financial reports for construction projects.

  • Manage project finances, ensuring accurate valuations, payments and cost control.

  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure transparency and efficiency.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure cost effective decision making.

  • Prepare and review contracts, variations and claims.

  • Provide expert advice on commercial and contractual matters.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in the construction industry.

  • Strong understanding of construction costs, contracts, and procurement.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction is preferred.
